Summary=An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist of fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. 1x03 dummy dancing. That was pretty cool. AD. 1x15 the great escape. People who have not read the book, are in awe of this movie. I watched people around me during the movie (glances, of course I missed nothing of the movie itself) and their reactions said enough. The story is of course is magnificent. The translation to the big screen is done very well. Action scenes are much more intimidating, and the little intro explains to people a lot which would not fit into the movie dialogue itself. All the actors are great, especially the dwarf, which will make you laugh for sure. Gandalf stands out too, Sir Ian McKellen we have to thank for that. The masses who are too lazy ( or dumb ) to read the book will now have the best story ever delivered to them in easy form. Although its a long sit ( 3 hours ) the time will fly by, and at the end you will be VERY disappointed this part is over, and VERY agitated because you'll have to wait another year for part 2. My advice: GO READ THE BOOK!
Big ups to Peter Jackson for taking the necessary time to perfect this movie.

The movie sucked thay mad him more goofy then making him go on the hunt like a true killer. 32:36 even in the land of Mordor where shadows lie, a ringwraith must protect himself from rain. A great deal of dialogue from the book is cut out in this scene. Among the lines that were cut out is Aragorn's response in which he says the Dunedain rangers also keep the lands of Middle-Earth safe, in response to Boromir's boast that Gondor alone holds Mordor at bay. Another change they made is that Aragorn is evasive in this scene about being Isildur's heir, asking Legolas to sit back down. In the book, when it is revealed that he is Isildur's heir, he proclaims that he will return to Minas Tirith. And shortly before the journey begins, Narsil is reforged into Anduril. But in the films that does not happen until Return of the King.

BUT Consider dropping it in a volcano that isn't surrounded by orcs and trolls, not to destroy the ring, merely to leave it there, I mean who the heck can salvage a ring from a volcano.
